A challenging 14.6 km hill race through the Ochils, taking in Andrew Gannel Hill, Ben Cleuch, Ben Ever and The Nebit before returning to Alva Glen.

For 2026, runners must climb The Nebit. This was bypassed in previous editions.

Mandatory kit

All runners must carry the following equipment. Please bring it with you to registration:

• Full waterproof body cover
• Hat
• Gloves
• Compass
• Whistle
• Suitable map

A map will be provided, although runners are advised to carry a more detailed map of the area.

The route

The race starts in Alva Glen and follows the footpath through Ochils Woodland Park towards Tillicoultry.

From Tillicoultry, runners climb the eastern side of the glen before visiting checkpoints on:

1. Andrew Gannel Hill
2. Ben Cleuch
3. Ben Ever
4. The Nebit

The route then returns to finish in Alva Glen.

The section towards Tillicoultry after the golf course will be flagged. Please take care when crossing or running near traffic.
