Get ready for another exciting day of racing on the Greenock waterfront! Inverclyde AC is proud to host the Renfrewshire AAA Road Race Championships, welcoming runners of all ages and abilities for a day of great competition, camaraderie and coastal views.
From Glasgow: Take the M8 towards Greenock, continue onto the A8 and then A770 through Greenock towards Gourock. Battery Park is around 2 miles along Eldon Street on the right-hand (river) side.
From Ayrshire: Follow the A78 through Inverkip, taking the A770 coast road for Gourock. Continue through the town centre and the park is around 1 mile along the A770 on the left-hand (river) side.
Parking is available inside Battery Park in the public car park near the Skatepark (first come, first served). Additional on-street parking can be found in nearby streets.
Please note that the area beyond the public car park towards the Pavilion is reserved for Scottish Athletics officials and St Andrews First Aid only. Signs and barriers will be in place.
Toilets: Public toilets are available in the park.
Changing & Showers: None available β please come ready to race.
Club tents: A designated area near the Start/Finish line will be available.
First Aid: Located near the Start/Finish area.
Catering: Tea, coffee, rolls and a small selection of baking will be available within the park.
All races start and finish within Battery Park.
Chip timing will be provided for every race.

U11 athletes must be at least 9 years old on race day.
U17 and younger age groups race entirely within the park; Seniors and U20s head out along the Greenock Esplanade before returning to finish in the park.
Seniors & U20s: Start in the park, out onto the Esplanade, and back to finish inside the park.
Younger athletes: All routes are contained within Battery Park on traffic-free roads.
All courses have been officially measured. Event and course maps will be available on the Scottish Athletics website and displayed near the start area.

U20 and Senior athletes must collect their own number and timing chip.
Team Managers may collect race packs for junior athletes.
Medal presentations will take place outside the Pavilion around 30 minutes after each race, once results are confirmed.
Individual medals will be awarded to the top 3 Renfrewshire club athletes in each age category:
U11, U13, U15, U17, U20, Senior, V40, V50, and V60 (male & female).
Team medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will be presented for:
U11, U13, U15, U17 (3 counters per team)
Senior Men (6 counters)
Senior Women (3 counters)
Non-Renfrewshire athletes will also receive medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group (U11βSenior).
Renfrewshire club contacts will receive a ProTay link by email. Entries must be completed by Tuesday 3rd February.
Club members should not submit individual entries.
Unaffiliated or non-Renfrewshire athletes may enter via the ProTay link posted on the Scottish Athletics Events page.

Seniors & U20s: Β£8
Young Athletes: Β£3
Unaffiliated runners: +Β£2 levy
Invoices will be sent to club captains after the closing date.
No late or on-the-day entries will be accepted.
If your club members can assist as race stewards (especially for the 10:30 Senior/U20 race), please contact Gerry Gaffney at inverclydeactreasurer@gmail.com.
Provisional results will be displayed on the Pavilion windows throughout the day.
Final results will be posted on the Scottish Athletics website.
Any result queries should be directed to the Referee on the day.
Battery Park remains open to the public during the event β please be courteous to other park users and dispose of litter responsibly.
