The Benbecula Half Marathon is a scenic race held on the beautiful island of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides. This race attracts runners of all levels who want to experience the stunning landscapes and the unique culture.
The course features a mix of flat and gently undulating terrain, making it suitable for both seasoned runners and those new to half marathons. Particpants can expect to run along picturesque coastal roads, through local villages and past breathtaking views of the rugged landscape and wildlife.
The Benbecula Half Marathon is a great way to challenge yourself while soaking in the stunning scenary of the Outer Hebrides!

This race is a Scottish Athletics Licensed Event run under UK Athletics Rules.
No headphones should be worn during the race in accordance with our Scottish Athletics race licence and UK Athletics rule 240 S 5 - "The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic." The race is run on roads that are not closed to traffic, anyone wearing headphones during the race will be disqualified for safety reasons. Headphones that work by conducting sound through bones and do not sit in the ears are acceptable.
In line with UKA Rules for Competitions competitors must be minimum age of 17 on race day.
All entrants shall be deemed to have made themselves familiar with, and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.
The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of the competition, whether or not the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
